We have recently received inquiries from several people who have received unsolicited e-mail messages (“spam”) that appear to have come from Springfield Electric.
What is Happening
These messages, called “forged e-mail” or “spoofed e-mail”, are created by senders who place false return addresses on their messages in an effort to hide their identity. These false return addresses often list the names of legitimate companies that have had no part in sending the messages. Unfortunately, the Springfield Electric name has been used by some of these senders, but these messages are not from Springfield Electric, and have not passed through our e-mail servers.
How You Can Help
Although the nature of e-mail technology makes it difficult to stop this problem, you can help us by forwarding any forged messages that appear to have come from springfieldelectric.com to the following e-mail address: info@springfieldelectric.com (Please forward the entire message, including any e-mail headers that may be visible.) We will then examine these messages to collect information and take all feasible action to reduce this problem.
Your Privacy

Sincerely,
